Starting as a GPS vehicle tracking business, Kinect Iot was approached to see how we could bring efficiency to the Animal Trapping Industry utilizing some of the learnings from the GPS tracking industry.
The problem faced by the invasive animal trapping industry is that industry standards stipulated that for an animal’s welfare it must not be in a trap for more than 24 hours, meaning that operators could only put out as many traps as they could physically check the following day. Operators also struggled with different staff members checking the traps of fellow workers who may be away and being unsure exactly where traps were placed (particularly a problem for foot traps!!).
Starting with the premise of allowing operators to see where all there traps where on the one map and receiving notification when a trap has been activated, from working with operators on the ground, receiving feedback and modifying the platform in accordance with their recommendations, Animal Trap Solutions has become the most comprehensive and flexible platform for recording and displaying vital information to improve the efficiency and operation of businesses within the animal trapping industry.
